BRANCO DO TARECO XVI TALHAS

The XXVI Talhas project springs from the heart of Vila Alva, an authentic expression of dedication and reverence to the ancient art of amphora wine production, a Roman legacy rooted in the traditions of Alentejo.

Born from the shared dream of a group of local friends, its mission is to safeguard and celebrate this ancestral wine practice. United by the common memory of watching their families handle the amphorae, the group now revives the old cellar of Master Daniel, a historic space endowed with 26 amphorae, chosen as the symbol and name for this passionate project: XXVI Talhas.

This effort is not limited to the production of wines according to traditional methods but extends to the revitalization and promotion of this unique cultural heritage, at a time when the amphora wine tradition faces the risk of being forgotten. Creating fresh and authentic wines.
