VINHA DO FOJO

Quinta do Fojo is one of the greatest expressions of the meaning of Viognier in Portugal, producing wines of unquestionable quality. Located in Cima Corgo, the heart of the Douro region, the wines are crafted with a strong sense of place, which is why only three wines are produced from the estate's two vineyards.

Made from century-old vines at the Quinta, in my opinion, it offers the best quality-price ratio. In exceptional years, when it is not produced, it is replaced by Fojo, which, incidentally, has the highest score of a red wine in Portugal— an impressive 97 points from Robert Parker.

But the Vinha do Fojo, aged for 23 months in French barrels, after foot treading, represents the full splendor of Douro wines.
